About us

History

The firm commenced on 1 July 1986 and was known as Capon & Hubert Barristers & Solicitors.  This was as a result of the merging of Wilcox & Capon and William G Pearce.

The current firm, now known as Capon & Hubert Lawyers & Mediators came into effect in October 2006, consisting of David Nimmo, Ken Hubert and Rhonda Hubert as Directors of the firm.  Geoff Capon remains as a Solicitor with the firm specialising in wills and estate planning matters.

Our Values

We are focused on giving honest and expert advice at all times.  Our staff are experienced in their fields and we take pride in knowing that our staff will always use common sense, respect, courtesy and good judgement when dealing with clients.  On-going training means that we are continually improving this service and our staff are kept up to date on matters in their fields.

Community Involvement

Each year staff at Capon & Hubert participate in the Canberra Times Fun Run raising money for the Heart Foundation.  Both Ken Hubert and Geoff Capon participate in the 10 km run.  Other staff members lend their support by walking as a team and participating in the 5 km walk.

Capon & Hubert also lend their support to the ACT Cancer Council’s Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea each year.

We also support the Scripture Union’s Chaplaincy program in ACT Public Schools.
